i never want to eat at McDonalds again after having seen "Supersize me."  Actually I've never liked McDonalds to begin with, even as a kid, so that was an easy transition.  I've always been much more of a Pizza guy than a burger guy, and if I get a burger it has got to be one of those big juicy ones that you get at a real restaurant or BBQ, none of this fast food crap.  So, Burger King is off my list as well, sorry Maria.

Did Jared see a mouse in the food or just in the restaurant?  If it was in the food, I can understand. If it was just in the restaurant, I'd say that doesn't qualify as a good reason.  Mice are always popping up in places

i usually blacklist based on service in shanghai, but really come to think of it, bad food or bad service rarely phase me anymore. :P

I blacklisted McDonalds for a full year (no mean feat as a youth pastor in HK - land of seriously cheap McDonalds) after reading Fast Food Nation - not on health grounds so much as moral grounds. I couldn't eat a burger without thinking of some illegal immigrant working for peanuts in a slaughterhouse losing a finger in the conveyor belt because she has to work so fast, not to mention cows that aren't even dead when they get hacked apart because the stun gun they put to their heads to kill them doesn't always work.

Other than that, I'll eat just about anything - anywhere.

Let's see. Is this how to post a comment? I wonder what happened to Norm at City Diner - the food has been going downhill a bit. I wish the BK in Shanghai had breakfast. Then I'd be there every morning. Otherwise, I'm not a fan of their burgers. They seem tasteless to me.

I've blacklisted Taco Bell Grande for the same reason you blacklisted that dim sum place in BJ.

I'll eat just about anything anywhere - however, if I have the choice, fast food wouldn't be at the top of my list.  I liked the MinBao hotpot restaurant in BJ...and in Canada, I won't be visiting KFC anytime soon...

hey...demetri and i were just thinking about you guys the other day.  we'll hopefully be travelling to asia next year...perhaps we can make a pit stop in Shanghai.  =P  we miss you guys...hope you're doing well.

haha...my friends and I were just talking about boy-cotting restaurants.  I have boy-cotted many usually b/c of bad service.  I do find that i eventually lift the boy-cotts on those with really good food!

Jared doesn't know what he misses out. Hahaha.
